Family Vacation Part 2

After we had a ton of fun with the Park's side of the family we drove down to Gunnison UT and started the Kjar's family reunion. That took us down to Lake Powell. This trip takes lots and lots of driving but it is soooo worth the five days of fun.
On our way from Grandma Kjar's house to Lake Powell Dilyn jumped in with us. He was feeling like the party was in our car. At the gas station their Grandma purchased chocolate milk for all of them.

We found the most perfect place to park the house boat. It was on a soft sand bar with a beautiful canyon that we all could swim up and climb on. The down side was just across from us were a bunch of party animals that blasted their music till four in the morning the first night. But we took care of them the second night. We brought the ranger over to investigate and he ended their little underaged drinking fest. Don't go to lake Powell to party and keep all the other campers up it's not nice.

Eric had a bit of trouble learning how to keep himself upright the first day so we had to keep a really close eye on him. We had to save him a couple of times.

Jason's cousin brought a friend with her this year. Her name is Megan and she was really nice to all the little kids. Megan is the one on the left and then there is Jadyn she's one of Jason's many cousins and of course Josh spent most of his time playing on the banana boat.

Josh made it his mission to teach Eric how to hold up a three with is fingers. I found Eric counting a lot on the trip.

Josh and Eric ready for a ride on the banana boat.

Dilyn was so funny on the banana boat, he would tell grandpa to go faster and faster and then my mother in law took over the driving and wasn't paying close attention to how fast she was going and scared Dilyn. When he got back on the boat he kept telling everyone that no more Grandma driving only Grandpa.

The water at Lake Powell is really low right now so we were able to do some hiking and on one of the hikes we found a paw print. This area in normal years would have been completely underwater.

Josh loved looking at the paw print. All the other adult said that it had to be a dog print but that doesn't look like a dog print to me.

By the second day Eric had the swimming thing down and we didn't have to jump in and save him every two seconds.
