First Tooth

Pretty Miss Eden now has her first tooth it cut through yesterday. That explains the crankiness and runny nose. I was kinda hoping it could be put off a little longer being that she is a breastfed baby but alas none of my kids have been one of those babies to get their teeth at the age of 12 months. She is however my latest baby. Josh had four teeth by the time he was her age and Eric and two teeth so I should count myself lucky that she only has one, but I'm sure that more will follow shortly.

rough morning

The morning started out so nice, Eden slept till 5:00 this morning and that meant that I got a full nights rest, the first time in months and Eric used the potty. But that is where the nice morning ended. As I left our house this morning I didn't have time to look for keys so I thought oh well I'll just use the key pad to get back in the house so we left. On our way Eric slipped on the ice and Josh doddled the whole way making us late for school. Then as I thought oh good we're home I found out that our key pad the only way back into the house was frozen shut. Great I had an infant that wanted food and a two year old that was loosing his patience very fast and whining and complaining. We walked over to a friends house to see if they could help us only to discover that our friend was not home. that made for a frustrating walk back home where I continued to work on the silly key pad. ( note I would love to use stronger words but my upbringing prevents me.) After a final plea to my Heavenly Father to help me I hit the keypad out of frustration and low and behold it opened. I then settled both kids down into our routine and went about my daily routine only this time I followed my husbands instructions to take a morning dose of calcium. Well Honey it and my breakfast came right back up about fifteen minutes later.  But please don't let anything else happen thats negative I've had my quota for the day.

This is an old pic of Eric. I guess I better start trying to get more pics of him, but he was just so proud of himself for using the potty this morning that I wanted to acknowledge that.

First experiance with snow

With all the snow Eric wanted to go out and play in it. So I took the camera and bundled both kids and we went out and introduced Eden to snow. She liked it as long as it didn't touch her. Eric enjoyed being able to make snow angels and eat the snow. Now I look forward to when Josh comes home and all three kids can play in the snow together.
Eric enjoys things best when he can eat it.

 Whats all this white stuff?

She decided that it was okay.

the miracle of snow.

Snow

It's snowing today and I know how much we need the moister this year. It seems like the whole winter has just been a mild fall, but I still am not a big fan of snow so I created sunshine in my home.
 We woke up to this.
This is the most it has snowed all winter.

 Pure sunshine

 I love her many expressions.

Josh was pretending to be a snowman.

Woody

We pulled out all the old 3T clothes last Saturday because my two year old out grew his 2t's and oh the memories.
Remember this? It was Josh's costume Halloween 2010.

Now it is Eric's and he loves being able to be the cowboy.

Ride'em cowboy!

Sitting

Eden has now learned to sit on her own. She has been able to do this for a while but never wanted to sit long enough for me to capture it on camera. I caught her distracted today to get the picture.
such a big girl!

Josh and Eden

Josh has been really insistent that he is big enough to hold Eden well I let him. I taught him how to hold her the right way and found that Eden really loves to be held by Josh. It is a really sweet thing to see. Now I have taught him that the only time he can hold her this way is when I'm in the room with them but it has been a good thing and it still amazes me how close Josh and Eden are.
Eden smiled right after the picture was taken. I would have taken a million more pictures but my camera died and I needed to recharge it.

Josh fell backwards with her causing both to laugh really hard. This will be a favorite picture of mine for many years to come.

Gift

My parents downsized recently so we received some nice gifts from them one of which is a pretty little china cabinet. Now I have a pretty place to display my grandmothers china. It also goes very nicely with my kitchen table.

Seven Months

Can you believe that Eden is Seven Months Old now? Where did the time go?
Things she is doing now:
She has mastered the art of rolling over-- she can get just about anywhere she wants to by rolling.
She is wearing her 6-9 months stuff.
She laughs but only when her big brother is teasing her.
She can sit up on her own but doesn't like to, she would much rather be rolling around.
She loves to put everything in her mouth.
She is trying to learn to crawl much to her mommys dismay.
She squeals at everything.
She loves her hair bows but not on her head, she would rather eat them.
and she can never go anywhere without her binky.
She is 27inchs long and weighs somewhere around 14lbs. She is my tall skinny girl and we love her so much!

My beautiful little girl is growing so fast.
We love her little personality.
We are so grateful to have her in our lives.
Even though she may keep me from sleep it is a pleasure to take care of such a loving child as this one.

Block Tower

We are so lucky on Monday and Thursdays after school my friends daughter comes over to help me with the kids. She plays with them and keeps them entertained so I can do things like dishes and laundry. The biggest thing she does is holds Eden so I can have two hands to work with. Yesterday she helped the boys build a block tower. The first ting out of Josh's mouth after it was finished was Mommy take a picture so thats what we did.
 The Tower

Eden spent the entire time trying to knock it over and the boys spent most the the time trying to save the tower from their sister.

Stay at home mom

I saw this and thought wow this says it all in a small nutshell and it made me laugh.

We stay at home moms do not sit on our butts all day. I find that I'm way busier than I was when I was working out side of the home. Two weeks ago Jason and I were talking to a acquaintance and during the conversation it came out that I did not work outside of the home but my husband was considering taking on another job to feed our family and she made the immediate assumption that I must sit around all day and do nothing while my husband works like a slave to his family. That could not be further from the truth. We moms work hard to make sure that our children are well taken care of emotionally and spiritually as well as  physically and working outside of the home forty hours a week just wont do that to the fullest.

Weekend fun

The weekend leading up to valentines day was very relaxing and at times an adventure. You see Friday night was our ward dance and I was so excited that I made sure to feed my children but not myself thus putting myself at risk and I paid the price of that with half of my eyelashes in my right eye and a bruise that still hurts, but no worries I now am using false eyelashes and extra eye shadow. So any of you nursing moms who think, "I don't need to eat" think again you might find yourselves passed out in a crowd of people and have to try and explain yourself to everyone including your husband who is very protective. Other than that the rest of the weekend was fun.
can you tell I have false eyelashes? and well the bruise is nicely covered.

 we organized the boys toys.

Sitting

After doing some major cleaning on the boys room Eric Eden and I decided to play on the floor. I've been trying to get Eden to sit up but she would be much happier playing on the ground rolling around than sitting but I did get a picture of her sitting with a toy.
playing in the old exersuacer. Every one of my kids has loved this toy.

playing with the all in one piano toy.

This lasted for about three seconds. Then she flopped back over on the ground so she could roll some more.

CHEEEEEEEZE!

Fun weekend

We still managed to have a fun weekend even with sick kidos. The only problem with weekends is that they end to quickly.

My goofy boy, at least he still lets me hug and kiss him. One day he wont but till then I'll get my love in as much as I can.

Josh loved giving Eden a horsey ride. He even gave Eric a good horsey ride till Eric squashed him.

Daddy with his princess.
 Best buds

Then they got a little crazy.
I love my zombies.

Oh and just to prove that Eden really does like to suck on her toes. When ever her socks are off she sticks those chubby little toes right in her mouth.
