I'm at my wits end

Okay it's no big surprise I don't like snow, I'm tired of the winter nasty I know it's only been around for a couple of weeks and mostly our winter has been full of nice weather but still I don't like snow, I don't want it around I can't handle the gray clouds right now. Well it was particularly nasty today but to my surprise the school only made it a late start so, at 12:00pm I put Eric down for a nap and dressed Josh in the warmest clothes and coat and boots we have and did the same for myself and hiked the short distance to school. Only to be told by Josh's teacher that they had decided to cancel. Well thats great but they should have called me before I left the safe dry haven of my home to walk in the blinding snow fall with a tearful five year old who was devastated that he couldn't go to school.

Snow

To be honest I love snow except when I'm expecting then it turns into my worst enemy, but the boys love snow and what makes them happy makes me mostly happy. The pictures of the boys were taken Thursday before everyone got sick, and when I say sick I mean Fevers, chills, earaches, headaches, horrible chest coughs and congestion galore. Jason is now past the worst of it and so is Eric. Josh lucked out he didn't get any virus while everyone else lay dying on the couch. I'm still recovering and and expecting so as a result I'm stuck going to my family Dr.'s on Tuesday and my OB office on Wednesday because I was told by the OB office that they don't deal with possible infections. I'm a tad bit annoyed but my Mom and Dad told me to just deal with it and move on. I hope everyone else is having a wonderful holiday weekend.

These two pictures were taken Thursday Night before Eric developed a nasty fever and cough. Darn Daddy for sharing the horrible virus with us again.

Friday: Josh went out side and built a snow man all by himself.

Mr. Snowman, he looks like a cute penguin to me.

Josh preparing to use Mr. snowman as his new snowball target instead of my kitchen window. The snowman did not last more than thirty minutes before he lost the snowball fight to a five year old boy determined to cause some damage that he would not get in trouble for.

Scheels with Papa

Before we left for Sacramento for Josh's B-day party my parents came down for a day to play with the boys. We all went over to Scheels so that my Dad could see Josh ride the Farris wheel. These are the memories that my children will cherish as they grow as will I and my parents.

Josh

I finally got my purse back from my in laws. The last time we visited I lost my brain and for got my purse. That was no big deal except my camera was in the purse. So now I can share all those wonderful pictures from Josh's happy day.

Pictures from the party

I still don't have my camera which is very frustrating but my Dad did send me some pictures from the party so at least I have something to show for it. Hope everyone is having a great Monday morning.

Before we left for Sacramento I took my parents over to Scheels. The boys loved the fish.
