Two weeks

Two weeks ago Eden came into our lives. Our family is getting back together and we're trying to get into a routine again. Eric needs that more than anyone. Well for just being two weeks old Eden is just over 6lbs, and is two inches taller than she was at birth. Her Preemie clothes don't fit anymore and she is such a funny girl. I've never experienced a baby as young as her that smiles as much as she does. I know it is gas but you can catch her smiling her goofy grin a couple of times a day. We'll see the Pediatrician this week and then we'll see where she is, but my tiny baby is already getting bigger every day.
Don't mind Josh's messy mouth, we've had a really good beet crop this year and Josh loves beets.

Two weeks old our precious little princess.

family complete

Jason's sister and her family brought the boys back to us today they spent the week with Grandma and Grandpa Kjar in CA and were able to play with their cousin as well. I'm really happy to have them home it's just not right when the family is all split up. Now they are busy having a water fight with their Daddy. Eden sure doesn't seem to mind the extra noise.

one week

Eden is a week old now and I thought it would be fun to show some of the things that we have been doing this week since we came home wednesday.

We've been doing.....

 lots of this.

Some bathing and sitting in the sun with our clothes off to get rid of the jondice.

more sleeping and looking really cute at the same time.

Everyone has been doing lots of this just to keep up with all the night time feedings.

Tears and well more tears but at the same time he still loves her. Just trying to figure out his new world.

My in-laws took the boys back to CA today and now I'm starting to really miss them. The house is way to quiet without them but like my husband and mother and father and mother in-law told me I still need another week to heal from surgery so while I really miss my babies I'm grateful for the rest.

Eden Anne Kjar

Well Eden and I are home now and apparently we've been asked to share pictures so now that I'm home with something more than my mom's I- phone I can show some pics of my pretty little princess.
First things first the story, last Thursday my midwife checked me and decided that I was getting pretty close to having my baby, well about an hour after she checked me I started getting contractions, go figure well those contractions didn't stop till Sunday afternoon when Eden was delivered. I'll tell you that many days with bad contractions makes a women cranky but I have a great support system at home. My parents had decided to come up on Sunday. Sunday morning I was no longer able to control my contractions and was told to come in. Well I really didn't want to be another pregnant women who went to the hospital and was sent home but I did as I was told after we went to sacrament meeting. That was the longest meeting of my life. We then went to the hospital and and was checked and told I could not go home because I was in active labor and needed to get a c-section done because my last two deliveries were C-sections. At 3:45 in the afternoon Eden was delivered she was 5lbs, 8oz and 18 in. long, by far my smallest baby but she is a trooper and has done better than the nursing staff and Dr's expected. We feel so blessed that even though she was born at just shy of the 37 week mark she is healthy and strong.

 Moments after her birth

 Back together with my boys.
Eden had to stay in the nursery for a couple of hours while she was being checked so the boys snuggled up with me in my uncomfortable hospital bed.

The first time I could hold her.

proud daddy of his first girl.

The best part about having a baby during the day is that you are not as tired so I was able to enjoy the birth of our daughter.

the day after Eden was born can you tell that I'm on heavy pain killers and that I'm just a little tired. Josh and Eric both wanted to be with their sister.

This is probably my favorite picture of the day. Eric is so happy to be a big brother.

36

I'm 36 weeks now in a couple of days I will have been pregnant longer than I was with Eric. I know I'm about ready but everything is up to this baby. All I can say is patience is a virtue that I'm still working on.
gravity is a harder teacher when I'm trying not to fall over forwards.
Good luck to all my friends who are in the same boat as me.

What we did today

This was the first Saturday that I have had Jason in five weeks. He's been so busy doing service projects in our ward but today I asked if he would organize the shed. Now it looks great and we were able to find things that we thought we had lost. We were also able to clean out things that we didn't need and give them to someone who did need them. I didn't take a before picture but my parents know how bad that shed was and let me tell you it was bad. You couldn't even walk in.
 But now you can. :)

goofs

I could hear Josh in his room so I went to get mad at him for disturbing his brother who was sleeping only to find that both boys were ( hiding). I asked what they were doing and the answer that I got was, " we're not here, we're hiding". usually when you are hiding from Mommy its best to not give away your position.

Fire Works

Yesterday was so much fun. The boys were able to add some memories to their lives and enjoy our nations special day. Later in the day we enjoyed the remainder of our fourth of July feast and sat out on the back porch playing with the popper fire works that we had. Then the boys went swimming while Mommy and Daddy soaked their tired feet. The fire works show was fun, we had perfect seats and the entire time the fire works were going you could hear oohs and awws from my boys. I hope everyone else had a wonderful 4th of July day. Now we have to get back to our regular day and wait for our little miss to come and help us bring more memories to this family.
Eric always ends up just getting into the pool with all his clothes and we always end up taking the clothes off and just letting him go in with his diaper, but at least he is happy.

Just before we played with the poppers.

The day was great except for my very swollen feat and hands that reminded me that I was pregnant.

We sat by a tree while we waited for the fire works.

4th of July

We started our day out by getting up at 6:00am so we could hurry over to the marina for the balloon rides but they closed them up before we could get a ride. Then we went home and Jason did some yard work and then we started our feast. It was one of the best 4th of July meals we've had. It was nice to be together as a family and look forward to the fireworks tonight.

The boys made a new friend.

Very pregnant but we made it out and back again with out any problems.

This picture was taken just after we found out the rides were closed.

 Rice crispie treats.

Josh loved the food and Eric loved the root beer.
Happy 4th of July everybody!

Our Sunday dinner

Josh seemed to really enjoy Sunday dinner tonight. He even made up a funny dance and song to show his appreciation.
We had beats from our garden. The only way to get Josh to try things is to make it fun. When he saw that Mommy and Daddy's mouths were turning purple he just had to join in.

Oh and he devoured all his pork chop as well.
