surrounded by the ones I love

At 5ft 1in I have no chance at pulling off a attractive pregnancy especially since this is my third pregnancy and second one in two years. I keep looking at a lot of my friends who are also pregnant and think darn it if only I had two more inches on my little frame I could avoid some of the weight out in front but we work with what we have. The boys thought it would be fun to take pictures of their new baby sister in mommy's tummy. Jason was kind enough to take them for us. I love the one of me and Josh, He is so happy to be having a sister. Eric is following in his brothers foot steps and kissing my tummy every chance he gets. I hope he loves her just as much now as when she comes.
Eric trying to give me his shoes while we were taking pictures.

 Josh and mommy

at 21 weeks I'm only going to get bigger

Josh took this picture it's from the top of my tummy as you can see there are no more feet. I can't see my feet any more so I trust that I know what's under me or so I hope.

Just our Luck

Jason woke me up this morning to tell me that our car was dead thanks to Eric partially leaving a door open last night and us not noticing. So we had to call a friend  but our phone was dead and the boys had turned our ward list into a work of unreadable art that was missing in action. Well thanks to cell phones we were able to call a friend and get help and send Jason on his way to work. I hope no more issues pop up today. Sometimes I wonder if someone is telling us to slow down and remember to ask for help.

Life can sometimes make me feel like blah blah blah.
Have a great morning

project

I'm practicing for when I make a baby guilt for my baby girl, but it seems my entire family wants a guilt now so I started with my husband, then in June I'll start working on my new baby's quilt and in January I've been asked to make a quilt for Josh's birthday by Josh himself, he wants horses. Eric is happy with Josh's old baby quilt so I might be able to get away for a couple of years on him. Who would have thought my family would be so much more excited over fleece tie quilts than anything else.
This is called a tie quilt it is just that, two pieces of material that I have tied together. It took me 2hrs to finish this start to finish. Thats my kind of project. It's a 6x5ft When I make one for my baby I'll do a 5x4ft, Josh will probably get a 6x5ft in January.

The most important thing about this quilt is that my family loves it and that gives me the desire to make another for my baby. Oh and my big baby who at five years old still loves to cuddle up to Mommy or Daddy with a blanket.

Ultrasound

Yesterday was my ultrasound, I had been waiting for that day since I found out I was expecting this baby. I'm always really nervous on every baby I'm expecting maybe because my brother and his wife had a baby that did not make it  and I have friends who have also had babies that didn't make it but the 20 week ultrasound helps to ease the tension a little bit and give me some hope. Our baby is doing really well and if my body could muster up some more strength I will continue to have no problems. I have to say this third pregnancy has been a little bit harder than my other two but just as exciting. Our baby is a Girl! we are so excited, when we came home to tell the boys Eric's response was , nothing and Josh his response was, I know Mommy I told you already. So our family will have a little girl to soften the masculinity around our home, a women's touch can make a big difference in a bunch of boys lives. Josh looks forward to holding his sister, Eric is still very much mommy's baby so I think it will catch up to him after the baby is here.

boys will be boys

wind

Over the weekend we had some nasty wind storms and the damage from them was nasty and annoying.

The umbrella was closed but the wind was strong enough to rip the umbrella out of its locked position shattering our table top now we have no table and we had a nasty mess to clean up which was cleaned the next day. I'm ready for spring and no more nasty winter wind storms.

St pattys day

As all Americans have become mixed in all cultures we enjoy all cultures traditions. This morning the boys and I made green oatmeal and green milk then we dressed in green so no one could pinch us. We're waiting for daddy to come home I know he forgot to wear green so we'll get him when he comes home.  We'll be having pot roast and potatoes for dinner instead of the traditional corn beef and cabbage, the traditional doesn't agree with me at the moment. Hope everyone is enjoying the fun of the St patty's day and making traditions with their families.

A couple of nights ago there was a nasty wind storm that blew a couple of our shingles off the roof my handy husband fixed them last night. We've had to wait for a not windy night which is difficult in the spring but he was able to fix every one.

I took this picture of him after I had called up to him to say "please don't fall off the roof", don't you just love the response  in his expression.

Josh's piano piece

Josh asked me if he could play the piano yesterday after I put Eric down for a nap usually I wont let the boys play on the piano with out their dad. It is really Jason's piano after all, but something told me to let him so I told him to play pretty and he did. He really made his daddy pleased thats for sure. Maybe someday Josh will want to be as good as his daddy.

Family Home Evening

Last night we had a lesson on Noah and the ark and after the lesson we jumped in the car and drove to Cabella's to see those animals. Josh was in Heaven with all the stuffed animal creations. I might add Jason was also in Heaven with all the "MAN STUFF". I think we have just found Jason's new favorite store. We had never gone there before mostly because it is almost at the California Nevada border and because we have scheels practically in our back yard but, Cabella's was a very fun store. After the activity we stopped at the fudge shop and purchased some yummy fudges. Then we went home put the boys to bed and tried to figure out how we are going to fix the dish washer. I hope that the fix it guy can wave his magic wond and make it work. All in all it was a very fun family home evening activity. Something I hope Josh will remember.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

This week was a rough week filled with yet again more runs for the bathroom because yet again at 17 weeks I'm still loosing my much needed nutrients leaving me dizzy and tired, well we found out what the heck was going on thanks to my very wise mother. I thought it might be my blood pressure but nope it was my blood sugar. It was randomly dropping very quickly leaving me dizzy and nauseated which in result made me throw up. So I made a bigger effort to eat and drink at consistent times. The orange juice that I have been consuming has helped a lot so today I have had no head aches, no dizzy spells and no throwing up everything. It sure is amazing to have a mother who is also a nurse who can help me when I need her most. Today I do have a funny story, I stripped all the beds to wash the sheets and next thing I know Josh is calling to me and asking me to come to his bedroom. He told me that he wanted to show me something. When I got there he jumped on his bed and started jumping, he then looked and me and told me that he wanted to help me exercise because I was starting to look fat. Now is that not just the sweetest little boy in the world, I'm being sarcastic. His Daddy came home for lunch shortly there after and found out what Josh had been trying to help me with and told him gently that Mommy wasn't fat just large with a baby.

He'll be a great weight loss support come September
