Christmas 2011

This year we spent our Christmas with Jason's family and it was a really fun experience. Our first night in CA we went to see some really elaborate Christmas light decorations. The second night we....
had a very special visit from Santa.

Eric was so happy he ran over and gave Santa a hug.

Josh was the first to sit on the big man's knee. Santa gave each child a present of Christmas PJ's.

Eric receiving his present from Santa

Christmas morning and Eric, Josh and Dilyn were so excited.

Josh and Eric enjoying their gifts from Santa Christmas morning.

Eden enjoyed her gifts from Santa too.

Jason was excited about his CD player for the car. No more dark age technology for us in the car. hee hee.

Eden in her pretty Christmas dress ready for Church.

All three kids ready to go to church.

We were so blessed this year and we hope all enjoyed their Christmas holiday and  remembered who the holiday is celebrated for.

kids say the darnedest things

The other day our new furnace was finally installed and yes our family is gratefully warm again. While the man worked on it he had a very distinct smoke oder on him. While working the entire day he had five different smoking breaks and nothing was said till Josh came home from school. Josh after watching the man take yet another smoking break seemed to think that enough was enough. When the man came back in to continue working my five year old walked over to him and said, " don't you know that Jesus said you shouldn't smoke? and that we must always do what Jesus says." I was part horrified and part pleased with Josh for standing up for his beliefs and sharing them with another. As for the man his response was "kids say the darnedest things." He had a smile on his face and finished up his work. I hope that one day he listens to the wisdom of a small child and makes a better choice for his body by quitting the bad habit.

Stockings

Are you ready for Christmas? Our family is soooooo ready to be with family during this Holiday season that every day Josh asks if we can go see Grandma yet. I love that he asks for Grandma and not Christmas presents. He also thanks Jesus for Christmas day in his prayers.

Santa

Our Ward party had a very nice visit from Santa Clause. Josh loved sitting on his lap Eden didn't care much and Eric gave Santa the stink eye the entire time he was on his lap, but we hall had a really good time as the kids made memories and I captured it on camera.
Josh on the big man's lap.

I love the stink Eye expression Eric is giving it's better than a screaming child.

 Josh my ham

there was also a really big villlage set up and a electric train that Josh and Eric were really entranced by.

this train is about fifty years old.

I came in to this

I came in to check on Eden this morning and this is what I found. Now don't they just look so comfortable Eric was in the crib with them but he was more interested in the crib toys.

My big girls is almost five months old and she loves to sit in her Bumbo.

And loves to play with her rattle.
She is so pretty

Josh's song

For this years Christmas Eve program Josh is going to be singing to the family accompanied by his Daddy so we practiced yesterday. I love young budding musicians.

spinach

I ran out of sweet potatoes  so today I looked in the freezer to see what we have and found Spinach and thought oh boy she is not going to like this but hey it's good for her and I should at least try.

The picture says it all.
She devoured it all!
