Help!

I know that this is my third baby but I need some advise. With my pregnancy's with Josh and Eric there was no morning sickness with Josh and only a little bit with Eric, yes I know I was very blessed but this third pregnancy is like a total opposite. I feel like I have the stomach flu 24/7 and it is only getting worse. So to save the sanity of my household I would love it if you Mom's out there who have had experience with morning sickness please tell me how to make it better. Oh and why the heck do they call it morning sickness? I'm sick all the time and the night time is the worst.

Christmas vacation

We had a fantastic Christmas this year. We went to my parents in Fresno and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday with them. Friday the boys went their way and the girls went their way. I was able to spend a wonderful girls day with my mom being that we are the only girls in the family at the moment. So my Mom and I did some crazy last minute shopping and got a pedicure which was very much needed. Then the family came back together and did our traditional eating home made pizza and listening to the Nativity story. Then the boys were given one present to open which was the Christmas PJ's. Then it was off to bed. Christmas morning was special for the boys. They came out and were surprised by Woody and Buzz from Toy story and stockings that were bursting with toys. My favorite part of the morning was the second to last gift. It was to my Mom from Jason and myself. In the gift was a beautiful bracelet and a pregnancy test that said positive. We feel so blessed that the Lord would know what we needed before we knew we needed another baby. So with great anticipation and sudden runs to the bathroom because for whatever reason I'm experiencing what being sick in pregnancy really is, we really look forward to the second trimester when I'm not sick and the beginning of August when this baby is due.

My very talented little brother also took pictures of our family in one of the most beautiful parks so when he finally decides to go back to St George and dr. the photos, hopefully we can get those pictures soon. I hope everyone else had a great Christmas this year.

Santa came to town

Santa visited our ward last night and Josh loved it.
Santa asked him what he wanted and Josh replied Toy Story Three please.

I wish kids stayed this way. Believing in Santa and knowing that he is.

Eric was smiling but I was not fast enough to catch the smile.
I love that my kids have always loved Santa they are not afraid of him.

I liked this picture This was after Eric had sat on Santa's lap, just happy to be with his Daddy.

yesterday morning Josh decided to get a little fashionable. I wonder if my boys are the only boys who love to dress up in their Mommy's clothes.

Meet Woody the snowman

Well after yesterdays nice frigid cold snow storm it was a little warmer today. In the morning we went Christmas shopping and have officially spoiled our boys, but hay we are so crazy about them. After lunch and before all the snow melted away Jason and Josh built a snowman that they called Woody. Last year the boys also created a snow man named Roy. Well Woody the snow man looks a lot happier than Roy last year. Eric also played with Daddy and Josh but came in after falling into a icy puddle of water. I spent the rest of the day wrapping presents which my boys were more than happy to place under the tree. I'm actually shocked that the boys took my threat seriously about if they even touched the presents under the tree that they would have no Santa visiting them this year. So all of our presents are under the tree wrapped and waiting for Christmas.

Josh actually found the arms for Woody from my now very dead tropical bush. Note to self don't plant tropical plants in Sparks NV.

My most thoughtful and funny husband decided it was a good idea to build said snowman with no coat, gloves, or hat. What a guy
Merry Christmas Everyone :)

Christmas snow

We woke up to snow this morning and thought two things. One that we hoped Jason's parents got out of town in time and two that this means it is finally winter. The boys quickly got dressed and went out side to check it out. Eric stayed outside for about five minutes and Josh was out there for ten minutes before he decided it was to cold. I believe that snow is fun to watch from the comforts of a nice warm house. I hope you are enjoying the fun that winter brings. :)

You know that song that says " anything you can do I can do better" Well we like to change it to " Anything you can do I can do also, I can do anything just as you do" because Eric wants to do anything his brother does as well as wearing his brothers way to big snow boots and trying to walk in snow but he stayed up, mostly.

and all the fun ending with a nice snow angel.
Merry Christmas

Gingerbread train

Our family has a tradition of making gingerbread houses every year for Christmas and my parents tradition is to provide the materials for us, ( Thanks Mom and Dad :) This year instead of a gingerbread house we had a gingerbread train. The boys loved putting it togeather and of course eating the candy.

What are your family traditions?
Eric and Josh after finishing our train.

Eric loved making the train and mostly eating the left overs

A sister a church last Sunday commented on how big my boys are getting which for anyone who has seen Josh can look at that as a funny thing but it is true my boys are getting bigger and are able to do more on their own. Eric can get up on the rocking horse that we have all by himself. It seems that we can't keep Josh dressed in clothes that fit because he has started growing faster. For the first time in Josh's life he is wearing clothes for his age group instead of things that are a year to two years smaller than his age.

Turkey recipe

We had the best turkey ever last night. I got the recipe from the biggest looser thanksgiving show. My husband was very unsure when I bought the fresh cilantro but it was yummy.
I'll tell you what I did.

I thawed a skinless boneless turkey breast all day then when I was ready to cook it I sliced up carrots and onions and lined the bottom of a casserole dish with them. Then I put salt and pepper on the carrots and onions. Then I took my thawed turkey breast that was pre seasoned.( It just came that way from the store.) and rolled it in olive oil then I seared the pours closed by frying just the out side of it. Till all sides were golden then I rolled the turkey in fresh cut cilantro and put it in the oven to bake for 1hr and 40min at 350*. It comes out so moist and juicy you'll love it. The best part is the calorie intake is relatively small and it tastes great.

Christmas Fever

Well we finally got caught by the Christmas bug. We decked out our house in all the memorabilia of Christmas. This is my favorite time of year to decorate my house. The boys helped with the decorating of the tree and I stood guard by my precious breakable ornaments. If you look closely at the tree you can see that all the breakable stuff is at the very top of the tree. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas this year.

Thanksgiving

We're back from our super fun Thanksgiving trip, the boys loved seeing Grandma and Grandpa and playing with their cousin Dilyn. It was so much fun playing with family and just being together. Great Grandma Kjar came for the fun to and both boys loved seeing her as well. So what we did while we were in CA was, Thanksgiving day we spent all day getting food ready for the big meal. My Mother in law had us fill out a worksheet about all the things we were thankful for then we shared them with everyone. Then on Friday some of the family was crazy enough to brave the crowd at three in the morning for black Friday sales. the rest of us women were even crazier by braving the 10:00am sales, that I must say was a very interesting experience. We went to Kohls and shopped for about forty five minutes and waited in line for an hour but we got our good deals and had fun at the same time. While the women shopped the men went paint balling and my father in law came back with his usual nasty injuries of war. Then on Saturday it rained all day so the plans to play outside were canceled so we went to Chuckee cheeses instead and you would have though we had taken Josh to Disney land with the way he was acting. He had so much fun I don't think I have ever seen him that excited. He even ate all of his pizza which for him is a miracle because Josh hates pizza. We walked away from Chuckee chesses with some of the happiest boys on earth. Then that evening we got out the chocolate pudding and let all the boys paint on the table with it. They loved that especially my nephew Dilyn. He was eating and flinging it all over. When we put all three boys in the tub the water turned brown instantly. We came home on Sunday to a quiet house and finished up the day with a bowl of soup and sandwiches.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too.

Spelling

So Jason and I have been forced to start spelling out anything we don't want Josh to know about. So when we are talking about Christmas things a lot of our conversations go like this,
"we need to start thinking about things for the
S T O C K I N G, maybe we could put a M O V I E in it."

well last night when we were having one of these conversations Josh spoke up and asked for a T O Y. and then told us what he wanted. we were both speechless because our four year old just spelled for us. We had him do it again on video. So we are the proud parents of a very smart little boy. So if you want your kids to learn to spell, spell everything out in conversations around them if they are up for a challenge they will start telling you what you are saying.

just because

Do you ever get those times in your life when you desperately need a stress reliever? When those times hit us we try to smile and take some pictures because before you know it tomorrow comes.

Yes my son is sitting in a garbage can full of leaves and he took a bath right afterwards.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Jason's birthday but we are going to celebrate today cause he planned an evening out with the missionaries tomorrow. This year has been crazy but I guess I can say that about every year. Most years we just go to Folsom for his party so that we can be with his family but this year to many things came up so instead we will be having a friendly party here. Served with chili, cornbread and treats and playing games with friends. Sounds like a great idea for someone turning 28.

Growing up

Josh / Woody

The marsh mellow
This morning I was dressing the boys for the day when Josh came up with the idea to wear his woody pj's under his clothes given it's a cold day I agreed. When he came home from school he lifted up his sweater to show me that he was not Joshua Kjar but Woody in disguise. Every day I look at him and I can still see a glimpse of my baby but more and more each day he is starting to be a big boy with his own personality and opinions. Eric on the other hand is still my little baby who is now wearing his brother's coat from last year with no problems. He is my adorable little marsh mellow. I'm still not sure where the years have gone but Jason and I have done so much in that time. If only the time could go by a little slower so I could catch up.
