Thanksgiving

This year our family drove over to Fresno to spend Thanksgiving with my parents and brothers. It was a lot of fun and while there we braved black Friday and went to Sears to take family pictures. It was fun and we got a couple of cute pics. We also saw Mrs. Clause she came to sing and play with the little kids. Josh loved the musical instruments she let the kids play with after our visit with Mrs. Claus we found a Carousel for Josh to play on. We also spent some time at the Fresno Temple grounds, it looks a lot like the Reno temple they also have a park right next to it where we could play Frisbee and just spend some quality time together as a family. Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday of thanks giving.

Five months

Josh our comedian and Eric our gentle giant.

I'm not really sure what happened to all the time but Eric turned five months old yesterday. My beautiful baby now weighs seventeen pounds and can almost sit up all by himself. We just love having Eric in our family he is so sweet and calm. We also love having Josh in our family, his easy going personality helps to rid our selves of life's everyday stress. Jason and I are some of the luckiest parents to have these two wonderful boys in our home.

Weight loss Wednesday

what I did for exercise this week.
cardio, weight training, hiking, walking, not to mention carrying a sixteen pound four month old around. My pants are fitting better. Three weeks ago I had to squeeze my self into them now they fit perfect.
my long term goals loose 25 more ponds and fit back into my pre pregnancy size eight pants. watch what I'm eating I'm still nursing so I can't really diet but I can control how many calories I eat. For me loosing weight is doing some of the same things over and over again. I'm happy to see progress.
hope everyone else saw progress this week.

Smile

During Eric's Dr's visit the Dr. suggested that Eric was ready for veggies this is after Eric's first experience with green beans. His brother also tried it and reacted the same way he had when he was a baby spitting it out. He then looked at me and asked me why I was feeding nasty stuff to baby Eric.

Eric's four month check up

I just got back from the Dr.s and while I was at the Dr's office they did your regular check ups weight, height, head and just for a little recap from the last time Eric was at the Dr's for his two month check up he was at that time, for weight he was 11 lbs and 2 oz and 22 1/2 inches long his head was in the 10th percentile which at the time I thought was just funny that put him squarely in the 50th percentile for his age. today's visit changed that. Today Eric weighed 15lbs and 13oz just shy of 16lbs that put his weight in the 70th percentile he gained 2 inches which keeps him in the 50th percentile for height and this is the kicker his head is now in the 70th percentile. So now I have a chunky baby with a big head. Eric is doing very well and will now be starting veggies he mastered the spoon when he started rice cereal so Eric is a very healthy boy. Josh Started to drink the Ensure drinks to help him pick up a few pounds and get the essential nutrients that he is not getting so I hope at his next visit with the Dr. I can be pleased with his growth as well.

costumes

Did I ever mention that I love the month of October it is the start of monthly fun all the way till January for us. With birthdays, Halloween, more birthdays, Thanksgiving, more birthdays, Christmas and more birthdays. Granted the birthdays in our family never seem to stop we have a birthday in almost every month in the immediate family. Anyways I just thought I would post some of the pictures from Saturday's trick or treat fun. Josh was really excited and Eric was , well Eric was a four month old who could care less that his Mommy was putting him yet again in a funny costume, but both boys looked so cute and we did have a really fun time watching Josh trick or treat. He even was brave enough to go right up to the door of the Joker's house from Batman. He said "Trick or treat" waited for his candy then said "Thank you" and very cautiously walked away. Now that just makes a Mother proud. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

Happy Halloween

We carved our pumpkin today and Josh loved it. I mean what boy wouldn't love to get dirty and gross on Mommy's permission? this is the out come from that fun. Eric slept the whole time and mommy took pictures and stayed away from the pumpkin guts and was is called a back seat carver to daddy. But it was a lot of fun and we look forward to trick or treating to night. I just love making memories with my boys.
I hope every one has a safe and fun Halloween to night!

Halloween fun

Today was Josh's Halloween party and he wore his costume to school he was so excited to put paint on his face and take cup cakes to his class. When I took the pictures he kept saying cheeeeeese. He sure looked cute. Next year I'm going to have to get him a new costume but for the last three years he has made the most adorable pumpkin.

My four month old

While we were in UT Eric turned four months old, shed a tear. He is getting so big.
We started him on rice cereal because he started to nurse every hour and a half and I just couldn't keep up. He is doing very well feeding him with a spoon. We are just so thankful to have him and Josh they are the greatest boys no bias. Hope everyone is doing well.

Family Trip to Salt Lake

Our family took a trip to Salt Lake for the marriage of one of my cousins. The salt lake Temple is particularly special to us because a little over five years ago Jason and I were married there. We made a whole day of temple square. We started the day out by doing a seven o'clock session. Then the sealing and pictures. Then we were free till the after noon to go on top of the conference center and see the four acres of gardens they have up there. Its really big. then we saw the new family history library it was just opened the day before Eric was born, and the Joseph Smith Memorial. I love that building so beautiful and the observation deck. Then the lunch in which was yummy and finally a break till the reception. It was a very long day but full of family and fun.

On Saturday we saw Jason's friend and his wife and had lunch with them at the Cheese cake factory and spent some time with them and then headed over to visit my old room mate and her family. Even though Thursday was full of driving and Friday was full of Family stuff and Saturday was full of visiting Friends and Sunday back to driving all the way home the boys were wonderful through it all. They were so patient with us. I have some really wonderful boys. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

busy busy

This last weekend we went to Folsom to celebrate my birthday and to take updated family pictures since in the last four months Jason's side of the family has changed so much by adding two babies in one month. We took the pictures in this cute pumpkin patch and since having a baby tends to put a lot of extra weight in certain places I have been kicking my but for the last two months to try and slim that down a little. I have seen the pictures and everyone looks great!
We had fun celebrating my birthday wow 25 years old. My favorite part was listening to Josh sing happy birthday to me and then helping me blow out my candles. We then dressed the boys in their costumes and took pictures it was a lot of fun. Josh and Eric look so cute in their pumpkin and pea pod costumes and so dose Dilyn in his little horse Costume. I hope every one had a great weekend.

I had Eric playing in his jumper today when Josh walked up and told me that it was his turn to play with the jumper. It made no difference to him that he is almost four years old and that he is way to big for the jumper, it was still his turn so I took Eric out and Josh jumped in with some help because if he had tried to get in by himself he would have fallen on his head. This is what happens when you try to satisfy both kids and rid your self of possible jealousy so the experts say.

Look what Eric can do.

Eric is getting so big he can now sit up supported by the back. Josh wanted to help him sit up. Enjoy the pictures of my two most handsome boys in the world.

It has been a pleasure being the Mommy to Josh and Eric they are the sweetest boys and have made mine and Jason's lives so much fuller.

Canning and yard work

okay so anyone who has seen our backyard kinda knows why we needed to purchase more dirt to put back there, and for those who have not seen our back yard it needs to be leveled out. Well we have been saving to do our backyard for a while and next spring we'll finish it up. My very ambitious husband discovered that he could save by purchasing the dirt he needed now rather than in the spring so he went ahead and bought 12 yards of dirt. Mean while I'm canning tomato's like crazy because once again my ambitious husband planted six tomato plants which I love. So while he is wheeling dirt to the back yard I have been canning spaghetti sauce and tomato paste. Which by the way uses a lot of tomatoes if you have a lot to use. Eric has been sleeping like an angel and Josh has been busy doing what every little boy would do, playing in the dirt. Lots of good times at the Kjar house.
