Apple Pie

I've never actually tried to make a pie before but I felt it was at least time to try. My grandmother was very good at making pies and my father got even better so I was always a little intimidated to try. So I made an Apple pie as my first attempt and it turned out very pretty. It tasted really good too. I admit I did cheat on the crust I used a prepared crust but I did the rest of the work.

We planted a garden from seeds back at the beginning of May hoping it would grow but not really knowing if our efforts were worth it. So when we saw lots of growth we were ecstatic. Just goes to show that a little faith and a lot of water and sunshine can do for first time gardeners. We were even able to find the first tomato!

Art belongs on paper not on my walls

Josh has gotten very good at drawing lately, but last night while I was cooking dinner he took it upon himself to redecorate my bedroom. When your three year old is quiet that is when you should start panicking. I walked into my bedroom and saw him first drawing on all my white pillows then I looked at the wall and the wall next to it and my blinds and I swear I saw red. I wish I had had the foresight to take a picture of the disaster. I was able to get the black pen off the walls but not the pillows or the blinds. I'm still working on the blinds. I did take a pictures of Josh drawing a picture of himself and his daddy. When he is drawing the right way it sure is adorable.

Weekend Fun

What a weekend Jason and I took our small family over to Folsom CA over the weekend to spend some time with the family. We had to miss Jason's brother's graduation on Thursday due to work but were able to celebrate later with him. While we were there I was eaten alive by some bug and was blessed to have fat feet all weekend. Saturday Jenna, Kyle and Jason, Josh and I went to the park to play and I think Kyle and Jason had just as much fun on the toys as Josh did. After we left to go home Jason's sister's, water broke so now Jason and I have a new nephew. Now if only she could have done that twelve hours sooner we could have seen the baby. Great timing Jenna. I love family and all the blessings that come with family. I posted some of the pictures that I took from our trip.

Graduation!

I finally finished up my AA and am now looking forward to the next step in my road to a better education. It was a perfect day and thanks to pregnancy hormones a bit of an emotional day. We were very grateful that my parents and Jason's Dad and sister were able to come up and spend this special day with us. I worked very hard to achieve a goal and thanks to the Lord and help from many I was able to do that. Now we look forward to our next big goal and achievement, but that will have to wait till July when we bring our little boy into this world.

Outside fun

A couple of weeks ago we decided to try a garden, so we built the box and planted from seeds and are now starting to see life. Josh spent all Saturday helping his daddy and mommy and doing a great job pulling weeds, trimming roses and bringing everything back to full life and playing in the mud and water as Jason tried to create the watering system for our garden. It was a really fun day to work together as a family. The pictures taken were all from the same day Josh had so much fun in the mud I had to change him three times, but at least he had fun.

Graduation is in the near future.

This was my last semester of school. Now that it is at the end of the semester and my cap and gown have been purchased and the announcements sent out I'm pleased to find out that out of the three tests that make up the majority of my grade I got A's on two of the them. My instructor informed me that I would be graduating this month. I can't tell you how important this was to me I left my hardest class for last which was not smart on my part but hey it happens, and being pregnant wasn't sure I could pass but thanks to my wonderful husband's loving encouragements and my son being very patient with his mommy I will not have allowed math to get in my way of accomplishing my goals. I look forward to walking in just a few short weeks. I just really wanted to say thank you to my family and Jason's for keeping tabs on my progress this semester and caring enough to keep encouraging me when I was feeling discouraged.
Graduation is on May 22, 2009!

Easter 2009

We went down to Folsom this year to celebrate Easter with Jason's family and had a great time, between coloring Easter eggs playing softball and trying to find all of our Easter eggs in a park we had a great time. The only mishap was when Josh decided to climb on his Grandpas weight set and fell off. He had a nice little bump and cut on the back of his head that bothered his mommy more than it bothered him. Other than that we had a great time in the warm CA, sun. We even got to see the Nartker family while we were there. Hope everyone had a great Easter.

Saying goodbye to a really great man.

Last Tuesday Jason's Grandfather passed away suddenly from a heart attack. We went up to UT for the funeral it was a very special time to be together and remember why families are forever and to celebrate a really wonderful mans life. Jason and I are really glad we went. Josh was a very good boy the whole weekend, he was very patient with all the driving and was a big help in bringing comfort to his Grandma and his daddy.

Jason and I have been trying to get ready for our new little baby that is due in July by going through all of our old baby clothes and recieving blankets. Josh found some of the new born clothes that he wore as a tiny baby and decided to try them on. They actually went over his skinny hips. It was fun watching him get so animated over clothing I guess he takes after his mommy. The pics were kind of fun so we thought we would share them he sure loves to look at himself in the mirror he spends alot of time infront of our mirror each day. I think he cracks himself up, he sure cracks us up.

It sure is amazing when kids decide to start talking the most wonderful conversations come out of them. Jason and I are so pleased with Josh he has worked so hard these last couple of weeks and it has really shown.

Pregnancy Pictures

Okay so Last time I was expecting I would not let a camera near me. Later I felt bad because I had no pictures of me when I was expecting Josh so thanks to my very good friend Karla I had some taken along with some nice family shots and minus the part about being huge at five months I really liked them.

After class last night I came home to study for a while. Jason and Josh were watching a movie in the living room. when I came out of the office this is what I found.

Art Time

After school Josh wanted to do some coloring and painting so I was more than pleased to have the TV off and this was the afternoons activity Josh and I also created a little friend that sat beside him while he colored. I love School and the influence it has had on Josh. He wants to play more and watch TV less. Thanks Mom for the paint and Jenna for the play dough.

FHE

Last night for Family Home Evening activity we decided to build a train track and play trains. It was a lot of fun it sure is a blessing to be able to set time aside and just play with the whole family. Thanks Mom and Dad for the great Train set.

Josh's First Day at School

Today was Josh's first day at school and just as I thought he didn't even want to stop and say goodbye to me he was so excited about his classroom. This is exactly how he was for his first day in nursery too. Josh had so much fun today. He worked with his speech therapist and loved all the activities that the class did. I was worried that he would be so much younger than the rest of the class but he is the same age as all the kids same size for the most part too, so he fits right in. The only tears he had was when he did not get his way. For a first day I think that is very good. After school he came home and fell asleep on the couch. I have a feeling he will be taking a nap everyday for a while. I sure am pleased with Josh everyday he can say another new word and now that he is working with teachers he can really make some progress. Good Job Josh

Josh/ Preschool

okay I know this post is more for family but I thought you might like to know yes Josh was tested through the school district today and we found out that hey we were right he is speech delayed, so what was the solution to this, "Preschool" yes that is right my sweet barely three years old little boy was enrolled through the school district into a Preschool program. It is four days a week and two hours a day. He will be brought up to speed on colors, shapes and numbers along with a speech therapist working forty minutes a week with him. The nice thing is the school is four houses down from our house. He met his teacher today and she seems like a really nice women he even gave her a hug when we left which helps, now if Mommy can let her baby go I think we can proceed with helping Josh get a really good education and get to where he needs to be. Josh starts school on Tuesday morning. As a mother I never expected any of this but it has been a really wonderful learning experience for me and Josh. Now Jason and I can give him the help that he needs and togeather as a family we can become even closer.

Josh's Third Birthday Party

Well as time has passed I could not believe that my baby is now three years old. I had to look back at the last three years and wonder where did they go? It was such a treat to have family at the party and the weather which I might add was unseasonably warm and beautiful. We were also surrounded by good friends. Josh had a great time and was able to show grandma a few new things that he has learned to do. Like constantly telling everyone thank you and jumping up and down like a chicken. We sure are lucky to have such wonderful family so close. My family could not make it but we look forward to seeing them in May and July. Thanks to everyone who came and made this a very special day for Josh.

Yesterday was our first Dr. Visit. Our baby is almost fifteen weeks along, so we have some really neat pictures to share. The first picture is of the baby's face and the second is of the babies hands while the picture was being taken our baby was waving at us. I feel so blessed this pregnancy has been easier than Josh was and that is hard to believe yes I was very sick for six weeks but have had nothing since. We look forward to seeing our baby some time near July 17, 2009 Hope you enjoy the Pictures

Visit to the Nurse

So when I was Pregnant with Josh I did not have to go to the nurses visit, well not so lucky this time but the nurse was really nice, I had to take Josh and a little girl I'm watching this week with me and that got some fun stares. Pregnant women with two kids ages three and 11 months, now that would work in UT but Reno you just don't see it that often. So far the due date is July 17 that could change since I see the Dr. next week finally I'm only 14 weeks along. so that visit was nice and I look forward to Jason being with me next time. Well when we got home I was changing the baby and I started hearing this tearing sound so I checked on Josh and found he was on the counter with a knife beside him and a orange he had cut open and was busy sucking the juice out of. Now I know I can't leave my independent three year old alone or I should say he will be three in just under three weeks. Life sure can get exciting when more kids are added to the group.

Kjar/ Moore 2008 Christmas

We were so blessed this year to have Brianne's family over at our house for Christmas. It is never easy to get that many people in a small house for a weekend but it was so much fun. Josh ran around going crazy the whole time spouting out words we had never heard him say. Things like, Chris want drink, whats up, oooh toys, and other words. Josh and Brianne and Nana built a gingerbread house after the Christmas program on Christmas eve and Josh spent most of the time covered in the frosting and munching on the candy , but it was so much fun to watch. Josh was spoiled a lot this year on Christmas Day, but we decided that this year should be special since it was his last as the only child. He received lots of toys from Grandparents and his parents. Santa brought him a basketball hoop and ball and he played with it all morning. After the presents we all enjoyed some home made cinnamon rolls that Brianne and her mom made. It was so much fun to be with family, Brianne wishes she could see her family more often.

I'm So Cool

Bad Combination

Okay so our family went to visit Jason's family in Folsom CA for Thanksgiving and what a great experience that was. The trip was great and I was only sick for half of it instead of the whole trip. Josh was the most wonderful boy the whole time and that is till we got home. Since he woke up he has been doing nothing but whining and I have been having some cramping so short story I'm grumpy and Josh is whinny, bad combination. I sure hope I get my energy back soon because Josh dose not except people being tired on his watch. I hope there are other mom's out there with the same experiences.

Strong Stomach

About a little over a week ago Jason and I found out that we are expecting our second baby. Since then I have discovered my mothers meaning of the most important thing to a unborn child is their mothers love and her strong stomach. I have really tried to live by the strong stomach part but that is hard when your stomach doesn't think it is strong. My dad came up with some pictures to help illustrate the First Trimester, Second Trimester and Third Trimester.

Finally Pregnant

After trying for a year Jason and I are finally Pregnant hopefully we stay that way for the next eight months. We tried to tell Josh about the happy moment but he did not understand. He now is walking around calling his tummy a baby, but as the months go by I know he will understand later. Thanks to all of you who have had us in your prayers.

Dinner

For dinner on Monday night we had Ravioli Alfredo. Thinking Josh would eat them. Jason and I discovered that two year olds love to surprise us. Josh out of protest refused his dinner. This is not a new thing at our table but what was surprising was that he insisted that he eat raw lettuce. This is the proof of this story for those who know Josh.

Josh

Josh was busy playing at the dinner table when he decided to finally take some fun pictures. He enjoyed the picture time so much he laughed for a good ten minutes afterward. We sure are blessed to have one of the happiest little boys out there.
